Free exports and the Examples page
By exporting on the Free plan, you give Album Map permission to feature your video on the public Examples page.
A note below the slideshow, AlbumMap, and MapAnimator export buttons explains this permission. Starting a free export accepts it, without a separate checkbox or permission popup.
Exports with video credits, an active album video pass, or Premium do not require this permission.

What agreeing means
Agreeing saves permission for us to review that exported video and potentially publish it on the public Examples page later. It does not publish the video automatically or make your saved album or guest contribution link public.
You confirm that you have permission to share the photos, videos, voices, music, and other content included in the exported video publicly. When your export finishes, we email you that the video is under review; if we feature it, we send another email with the public link.
What we record
We record your account and album identifiers, the agreement wording and version, the acceptance time, and references identifying the agreed draft, export settings, and export job.
Permission records are kept separately from temporary export requests so our team can check the agreement before publication. They are separate from analytics and advertising cookie choices. A video download expiring does not automatically delete its permission record.
Ask about a record or request removal
To ask about a permission record or request removal of a featured video, contact us with your account email, album ID, and the example link if available. Changing plans or deleting an album does not automatically remove a separately published example. Read the video permission FAQ for more details.
Analytics and advertising privacy
Optional analytics and advertising tracking helps us understand how people find Album Map and whether our ads lead to registrations, invitation creation, video exports and paid purchases.
Product analytics and session replay
Album Map also uses PostHog for product analytics and Microsoft Clarity for session replay. These services operate separately from optional advertising cookies and help us diagnose site usage and usability problems.
Source and campaign reporting
For product reporting, we remember the first observed source and campaign for up to 60 days in your browser. When you sign in, we can connect that source to your account, invitations and later purchases. PostHog uses a pseudonymous account identifier to connect visits across signed-in devices and receives confirmed purchase amounts and plans. This account and purchase linkage respects Global Privacy Control and PostHog opt-out; it does not enable Google, Meta, Reddit or OpenAI advertising tracking.
Your choice
For new visitors, Google Analytics, Google Ads, Meta, Reddit and OpenAI tracking is on while the cookie notice offers a choice. You can reject optional cookies there or use the Cookie settings link in the footer at any time. A saved rejection and Global Privacy Control keep this tracking off.

Allow Google, Meta, Reddit and OpenAI to measure visits, invitation cards, video exports, signups and purchases. Affiliate cookies also help credit the partner who referred a purchase. Session recordings show eligible page visits and navigation to help us improve Album Map, with sensitive inputs and private media protected. When allowed, these services receive website activity, page addresses, browser and device information, IP addresses, advertising click identifiers, cookie identifiers and conversion details. Purchase details include a transaction identifier, plan, amount and currency. Our payment server may also send the confirmed purchase and the consented browser identifiers collected when checkout began. The same transaction identifier prevents duplicate counting.
Our conversion events do not include your uploaded photos, videos, messages, names, raw email addresses or phone numbers. After you accept optional cookies, OpenAI receives SHA-256 hashes of your normalized email address and account identifier to match website activity to ads. Our server also sends successfully created invitations and confirmed purchases, using the same event identifiers as the browser to prevent duplicate counting. We do not enable automatic form matching.
Cookies and providers
When you follow an affiliate link, Affiliatly or GoAffPro may record the referral and receive a transaction identifier, purchase amount and currency to credit the referring partner. Album Map remembers the most recent affiliate referral for up to 30 days and submits a paid checkout to one affiliate provider. Affiliate tracking respects your optional cookie choice and Global Privacy Control. We do not send uploaded media, names, email addresses or phone numbers with these affiliate purchase events.

Your cookie choice is saved for up to six months. Album Map stores the Reddit ad click identifier for up to 90 days after consent. The providers also use their own cookies and retention settings.
OpenAI’s measurement pixel uses a first-party ad click reference cookie for up to 30 days and a browser reference cookie for up to 365 days. Rejecting optional cookies removes these references and stops future OpenAI measurement events.
