Quiz locator pictures and native PowerPoint example: sources and reuse Checked: 2026-10-25 Only the six files named below: three quiz map pictures, the one-slide PowerPoint example, its original MP4 export and its poster. This notice does not license quiz HTML/JavaScript, article text, software, source fonts, hosted exports or other complete movies. AlbumMap, 2026. Geographic renderer adapted from Geographical Adventures by Sebastian Lague, using the named imagery and data sources. The separate data-source notices and other rights remain applicable; no upstream endorsement is implied. The Toronto, Montreal and Quebec City pictures were extracted at 2, 10 and 18 seconds from the original 21-second local city-locator map render. They show approximate city centres, original numbered pins and country flags. They are not landmark photographs, landmark pins, navigation maps or recorded journeys. Historical clues are separately cited in the playable quiz and article. The map-source notice is not a source for those historical facts. No census population graphics appear in these pictures. An FFmpeg conversion of quiz-reveal-montreal.webp is embedded as a fixed map background. The original conversion was reproduced byte for byte. City lettering and numbered map pins are part of that picture. The title, caption and yellow ellipse are native PowerPoint objects. The ellipse has one four-second custom motion path, With Previous and zero delay. The silent approximately five-second MP4 was exported in PowerPoint for Windows Version 2609 on 24 October 2026. On 25 October 2026, source and reuse notes were added to the slide speaker notes. All 31 other original package parts, including the slide and its animation, remain byte-identical. The updated file opened without a repair prompt in the same desktop app, and the slide show reached the Montreal marker position. The original MP4 and poster were not re-exported. quiz-reveal-toronto.webp | SHA-256 6cd77e2123ca567354b7ad5ece19e3df5468ab1b641a7c6022358c3fcda736b8 quiz-reveal-montreal.webp | SHA-256 26c3a4cbfdc8096a50facb750222ca204d9499b34889ec5701f4f21b335fa6d7 quiz-reveal-quebec.webp | SHA-256 1d126c084d064d73a45a1dc5e341e7e7bbabfd3338af5220b29e717306ef01a6 powerpoint-route-example-v3.pptx | SHA-256 79d31ddc11edb6443cbcbcda5e9db2a98ede03b9ef24071dae6ffadf8f1650f4 powerpoint-route-example.mp4 | SHA-256 c5671c50191427c6cbb9264f46745de857e582bc00c22d13a74ce1437f96f7de powerpoint-route-example-poster.webp | SHA-256 b054ee308c156fe4159e457b4c851496beb551584f09d2fd833077852b40a282 Renderer foundation: Sebastian Lague and Geographical Adventures contributors https://github.com/SebLague/Geographical-Adventures MIT software licence; Copyright (c) 2024 Sebastian Lague https://github.com/SebLague/Geographical-Adventures/blob/main/LICENSE Local map-video recorder and editorial sequence. Land colour and terrain: NASA Visible Earth / NASA Earth Observatory https://visibleearth.nasa.gov/images/73934/topography https://science.nasa.gov/earth/earth-observatory/blue-marble-next-generation/topography-bathymetry-maps/ NASA media usage guidelines; source credit retained https://www.nasa.gov/nasa-brand-center/images-and-media/ The upstream renderer maps colour textures onto a globe and modifies terrain height, including reducing some small-island heights. Camera, shading and rendering further transform the display. The upstream project credits NASA for land colour and topography. Its height-source note names this collection. An exact observation date or edition for each local texture is not supplied, and no current satellite view is claimed. City-light texture: NASA Earth Observatory https://earthobservatory.nasa.gov/features/NightLights https://www.nasa.gov/nasa-brand-center/images-and-media/ Declared in the upstream credit menu and local source note; the actual texture is bound in the terrain material. The old article URL now redirects to the general Earth Observatory section, so it does not establish a specific dataset edition. The example uses always-daylight framing. Country shapes and city-location data: Natural Earth contributors https://www.naturalearthdata.com/ Public domain https://www.naturalearthdata.com/about/terms-of-use/ Geographic information is incorporated into the globe renderer. The quiz pictures show approximate Toronto, Montreal and Quebec City centres. The PowerPoint background uses the Montreal reveal frame; it is not a landmark pin, road trace or measured journey. Country flag pictures: Flagpedia.net / Wikimedia Commons contributors https://flagpedia.net/download Flagpedia public-domain download terms https://flagpedia.net/download Flags are drawn as small map labels. They do not indicate endorsement or any travel authorization. The visible star field is a rendered adaptation. Version-specific terms for HYG 2.x/3.x are used. The repository current-version 4.0 licence is not substituted for the local version 3 data. 039fdcdcfc31968c6938863ac1d293854ba810bbfa0bcd72b1f4cc2d544f3d08 Rendered city-label lettering: The Montserrat.Git Project Authors https://github.com/JulietaUla/Montserrat SIL Open Font License 1.1 https://openfontlicense.org/ City names are rasterized into the map image. No font file is included. Numbered marker lettering: Microsoft Arial and Segoe UI https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/typography/fonts/font-faq The numbered map badges are rasterized on Windows. The slide title, caption and yellow marker remain native PowerPoint objects. Arial is referenced by name; no font file is embedded or distributed.
